About us

A family that decided to solve local problems properly

Forgeespark started in 2017 with one principle: do the job the way you'd want it done for your own household.

Where we came from and why it matters

Our story is short, but it's entirely our own — no investor decks, no rebrand moments, just steady work.

Forgeespark was founded in Eldoret in 2017 by a family that had spent years watching local service providers overpromise and underdeliver. The name was chosen to reflect exactly what the founders believe: that good work forges a spark of trust that, once lit, keeps a relationship going for years. The business started small — two family members, a shared vehicle, and a list of neighbours who needed reliable help — and has grown to a micro team of seven, each of whom was brought in personally by the founding family and trained on the same standards. We operate across Eldoret town and the Uasin Gishu county, serving private households, small retailers, and independent professionals who need dependable support without the complexity of a large service contract. Since 2017, we have completed over 1,400 individual jobs, maintained a client return rate above 80 percent, and never once advertised on anything other than word of mouth. That last figure is the one we're most proud of, because it means the work speaks for itself.

How we work, and where we draw the line

Understanding our process means you'll know exactly what to expect before we ever meet.

Every engagement at Forgeespark follows the same sequence: you reach out, we listen, we quote in writing, we execute, and we follow up. There are no shortcuts in that chain. The quote is always done by a family member who has enough context to price it honestly, and the execution is always by someone who has been briefed by that same person. We hold weekly internal check-ins to discuss active jobs, flag any issues before clients notice them, and adjust schedules proactively when the unexpected happens — and in Eldoret's rainy season, the unexpected happens often. We are honest about our limits. We do not take on large civil or structural construction jobs, work requiring licensed specialist contractors, or projects located outside Uasin Gishu county. If a client asks for something beyond our scope, we say so clearly and — where we can — point them toward someone we trust. The azure-blue thread in everything we produce reflects the straightforward reliability we believe Eldoret businesses and households deserve: calm, steady, and genuinely present when it counts.

“I've used Forgeespark for product sourcing three times since 2022. Every time, the goods arrived exactly as described, the receipt matched the quote, and there were no awkward conversations about extras. That's rarer than it should be in this town.”

Seven years, three values, one address

Everything we do in Eldoret comes back to these three commitments.

Family accountability

When something goes wrong — and occasionally things do — a family member takes the call and makes the decision. There is no escalation queue, no policy document to hide behind. The buck stops with us personally.

Community presence

We sponsor two local school events in Eldoret each year and participate in the Uasin Gishu county business forum. Staying visible in the community keeps us accountable to something larger than a profit target.

Earned-not-claimed quality

We don't use the word ‘quality’ as a label — we let the 80 percent client return rate and the 1,400-plus completed jobs make that argument. You're welcome to ask any past client directly.
